4)  Apparent contradiction with the words of Jesus: No one knows neither the day nor the hour (See also Chapter 36)

a) This seems in contradiction with the words of Jesus, who affirms in Matthew 24 - 36 But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

However, after an in-depth study, Jesus' words in Matthew 24 refer to the Day of the Lord, the Day of God's Wrath and Judgment against the nations, and not the day of the rapture of the Church.

Jesus teaches the Jews and the new Christians converted after the rapture, on what will suffer the generation that will pass through the Tribulation (verse 34 : Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away till all these things taken together take place). Verse 13 (But he who endures to the end will be saved) applies to the physical deliverance of Jews and new Christians who will still be alive at the time of Jesus Christ's return to Earth at the end of the Tribulation. From verse 15 (So when you see the abomination that astonishes and make desolate, standing in the Holy Place…) we see the beginning of the second half of the Tribulation. It will be a time so terrible that the Lord makes the following comment in verse 21: for then there will be great oppression, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever will be.  22 Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.

The apocalyptic disasters, the persecutions and the massacres will be so frightful that God will have to shorten these days, so that a certain number of men can remain alive until the Millennium! Because this period must be shortened (If it can not be shorter than the number of days prophesied by Daniel and John, God will shorten their duration), no one will be able to know the exact day and hour of the Lord's return!

Matthew 24 - 44 was also used to support the argument that no one can know the time of the rapture: « Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don't expect, the Son of Man will come. » In fact, this verse is for Jews and new Christians who will be so terrified that they will only think about hiding, and they will be entirely concerned about their survival. They will forget to count the days of the Great Tribulation that remain to them, according to Daniel's prophecy.

One of the biggest mistakes of today's Christians is to believe that since Jesus said 36 As to the day and the hour, no one knows, neither the angels of heaven nor the Son, But the Father alone, there is therefore no investigation to be made on the moment of the rapture or to seek a particular sign described in the Word of God. "There is no date given at the invitation of the Great KING for the wedding of his Son," they seem to say. And they close the mouth of Rebecca, who has obviously questioned the old servant about the length of the trip to the house, he who did not want to delay in the success of his trip because he loved his master too much not to make him wait (See Chapter 7).

Indeed, the duration of the Great Tribulation and the rapture of the church are linked. The rapture of the Body of Christ which is the Church will let the way to the free manifestation of the anti-Christ and for his diabolical plan. The one who stops him (the Body of Christ which is the Church) must first disappear. The rapture thus marks the beginning of the Great Tribulation. The end of the Great Tribulation will be known as the nomber of days is encrypted in the Word after the revelation of the Sons of God participating in the rapture. But it is here that the omnipotence of God alone intervenes, which, while shortening the days (shortening the duration of days), nevertheless accomplishes His Word and the days recorded and detailed in Daniel (7-25, 9-27, 12-7&11) and in the Revelation (7-14, 11-2, 12-6&14, 13-5). God has already shortened or extended the duration of the day twice (Joshua, Isaiah). A tangential impact of a large meteorite with the earth could accelerate the rotation of the earth on itself, and thus shorten the duration of the days momentarily from 6 to 12 hours for example (according to Amos 8-9 It will happen in that day," says the Lord Yahweh, "that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear), and God knows how many and of which sizes will be all these stars which will fall on Earth to destroy all the mountains and make disappear all the islands, these maritime mountains (Isaiah 2).

Who will count the days and hours then? God alone will be able to do this, if the day lasts 12h, then 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, and finally 24h again and if at the same time the sun and the moon are obscured. When God rises to frighten the earth or when He shakes the earth powerfully. Isaiah 2-19 and 21, Revelation 6-14.

The New Testament urges Christians today to wait constantly for the coming of the Lord, who has promised to take them away and take them with Him. They will not be taken by surprise, as the following verses prove: " 4 But you, brothers, aren't in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief. 5 You are all children of light, and children of the day. We don't belong to the night, nor to darkness, 6so then let's not sleep, as the rest do, but let's watch and be sober. " (1 Thessalonicians 5 – 4/6).

This proves to us once again that the declarations of Jesus in Matthew 24 can not concern the rapture of the Church.

Verses 29-31 say this: « But immediately after the oppression of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken; 30 and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. 31 He will send out his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other ». Again, this is the visible return of Jesus on Earth, not the rapture of the Church.

It is understandable that so many commentators use Matthew 24 to describe the rapture, because these verses seem to fit so well with this event! But, a more careful study does not allow us to do so. All this discourse of Jesus concerns the time of the Tribulation and of His return to Earth.  (See Chapter 52)

Matthew 24-36 therefore does not forbid us to suppose and advance a date for the rapture, considering all that we have just emphasized, but it shows us our weakness to "apprehend" the date of the Lord’s Day, even if a precise chronology is given to us. (see Chapters 36, 54, and Annex 7-h and 14-6)

Jesus spoke to us of His Wonderful Father, who had loved the world so much that He had given ...

This Father will want to shorten the days of the great tribulation to allow the salvation of a remnant, so Jesus specified that the Father alone knew how long, out of love, He would shorten those days.

The devil in his wickedness has long whispered in the ears of the Christian, " You see how wicked your God is, He will not warn you in anything, He has even said, as to the hour and the day no one knows."

Whom to listen: the devil, the father of lies or God, who is so precise? Dare to take the time to read this book calmly and you will understand this great sign and you will discover like me the immensity of His Love, His Care, His Precaution, His Precision ... Is it inconceivable for you that God has intentionally hidden for 20 centuries the moment of the rapture in order to keep the Church alive and finaly to reveal it to His children as He says in Daniel 12 – 4  Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end: many shall run back and forth, and knowledge (concerning this book) shall be increased… 9 the words are closed up and sealed untill the end of the time."

(See more explanation in Chapter 36)

b) How to understand the following texts, among others?

1) Luke 12-39 Know this well, if the master of the house knew what time the thief should come, he would watch and not let his house pierce. 40 You too, be ready, for the Son of Man will come at a time when you will not think of it.

Always put the text in context:

Luke 12-36 And you, be like men who wait for their master to come back from the wedding, to open him as soon as he comes and strike... 40 You too, be prepared, for the Son of Man will come at an hour when you will not think of it.

Here Jesus is addressing his disciples (you: those who will be converted during the great tribulation, after the Rapture), and the Jews who will be waiting for the coming of the Messiah after ... the Marriage Feast of the Lamb.

2) Luke 12-46 the master of this servant will come on the day when he does not expect it, and at the hour which he does not know, he will tear him to pieces, and give him his share with the infidels.

Indeed unfaithful servants will not know or if they have known of the day, they will despise the warning.

3) Matthew 24-36 Regarding the day and the hour, no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. Impossible to count days indistinguishable from the night and shortened by 1/3 according to Revelation 8-12: The day did not appear for a third of him, nor the night.

4) Matthew 24-42 Watch therefore, since you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

The Coming in Glory of the Messiah, expected by the Jews will be indeterminable (although prophesied in number of days by Daniel)

5) Matthew 25-1 Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who, having taken their lamps, went to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five wise men ... 6 In the middle of the night they cried out, Behold the bridegroom, go out to meet him. 11 Later, the other virgins came, and said, Lord, Lord, open us. 12 But he answered, Truly I say to you, I do not know you.13 Watch therefore, since you know neither the day nor the hour.

In this parable Jesus wants to support the fact that the time of his coming for the wedding will be unknown. It will come late at night, literally: in the middle moreover at night there will be a cry…

Here Jesus again addresses the disciples to signify them to be ready, to watch, as at the end of the Great Tribulation (It is the continuation of Matthew 24) and just before his Advent in glory: Matthew 24-38 For, in the days leading up to the flood, men ate and drank, married and married their children, until the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they suspected nothing, until the flood came and swept them all away; so it will be with the coming of the Son of man.

His Return in Glory, The Day of His Parousia will be unknown: It will be the evidence that follows from verse 29 of Matthew 24, not as not known in advance since the number of days is prophesied in advance (3.5 years after the profanation of the temple by the anti-Christ, 42 + 2.5 months or 1260 + 75 days according to Daniel 12), but as uncountable because the days will be shortened in duration and blackened without possible distinction between day and night.

Matthew 25-13 Watch therefore, since you do not know the day or the hour of the return of the Son of man. Here again, we must understand Return in Glory and not Come on the clouds for the Rapture of His Saints. The comma after "Stay alert" is a pause in reading.

(Some translators omit outright: the return of the Son of man, specified in the Greek)

This verse 13 finalizes the warnings of Jesus to the disciples with regard to His Return, it should be compared to:

2 Thessalonians 2- 1 Regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our meeting with him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to let yourself be easily shaken in your common sense,

In this verse, the apostle Paul does not confuse the 2 events separated by the comma and the "And"; but he positions them at the same epoch of time which he will then detail in verses 3 to 8 (See The logical sequence of events in Chapter 50)

1- Rapture/disappearance of the Saints then 2- Anti-Christ then finally 3- Day of the Lord = Return in Glory

This type of stopping in reading is frequent in the Word of God and very important, and unfortunately not often emphasized by translators.

So Jesus rightly stopped reading in the synagogue (Luke 4-19) before the comma and the "And":

Isaiah 61- 1 The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me, for the Lord anointed me to bring good news to the poor; He sent me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim freedom to the captives, And deliverance to the prisoners; 2 To proclaim a year of the Lord's grace, and a day of vengeance for our God; To console all the afflicted;

2000 years of history are separated by "a comma" and an "AND" in Isaiah 61-1 (exactly 29 + 1991 + 7 = 2028 years, see Chapter 76-13h4)

7 years of history       are separated by "a comma" and an "AND" in 2 Thessalonians 2-1 (exactly 2625 days, see Annex 7-j1)

Let us know, like Jesus, to stop our reading of The Word of God in the right places all our reading will become clearer and enlightened, and our comprehension will become easy. A superficial reader will not dwell on this. Let us learn to read step by step, humbly, with the help of the Holy Spirit our Counselor, and our reward will be great.

6) Acts 1-6 Then the assembled apostles asked him, "Lord, will you restore the kingdom of Israel at this time? 7 And he said to them, It is not for you to know the times or the times which the Father hath set on his own authority.

The answer of Jesus is clear, the revelation will come later and it is not these disciples who must know these moments concerning the restoration of Israel. The Kingdom of Israel, or rather the Messiah, will be established after the coming into glory of Jesus, after the final phase of the Great Tribulation, after a period without a time frame, but that the Father and the Glorified Son will be able to count very well. The Son of God in his passage on earth was limited and did not yet know all times; He will receive Revelation later, according to:

Revelation 1-1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the things that are to come soon, and that he made known, by the sending of his angel, to his servant John, 2 which testified the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, all that he saw. 3 Happy is he who reads, and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written in them. Because the time is near.

c) The Sign of the Son of Man coming in Great Glory. Why are the sun and the moon veiled?

Matthew 24-27 For as the lightning goes out from the east, and is seen to the west, so will the coming of the Son of man ... 29 And immediately after these days of trouble, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then shall the sign of the Son of Man appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Isaiah 24-19 The earth is torn, the earth breaks, the earth staggers. 20 The earth staggers like a drunken man, It wobbles like a hut; Her sin weighs on her, She falls, and does not rise again. 21 In that day Jehovah will chastise the army from on high in heaven, and the kings of the earth on earth. 22 And they shall be gathered captive in a prison, and shut up in dungeons, and after many days shall be punished. 23 The moon shall be ashamed, and the sun of confusion; For Jehovah of Hosts will reign over Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, shining with glory in the presence of his elders.

The second coming of Jesus will be terrible for the nations and the powers ruling in the heavens surrounding the earth.

The Advent of Jesus will be so resplendent with glory that:

  • The earth will be veiled considering the darkness of the sin sheltered during the time of God's Patience. Like the culprit whose face is covered (Esther 7-8).
  • The moon and the sun having illuminated these crimes will also be veiled because they will be covered with shame and confusion.
  • The light illuminating the earth will then be unique, it will come only from Him whose name alone will be pronounced and elevated in this day. (Zechariah 14-9 Jehovah shall be king over all the earth, in that day the LORD will be the only LORD, and his name shall be the only name.)
    • As the lightning illuminates the whole sky, His Light will illuminate the whole sky.
    • His Sign will be a dazzling light all over the sky, not just a bright spot like the sun.
    • No place will be left to another light or a foreign fire.
    • No other glory can survive. (Isaiah 2-18)
    • All knees will bow and all tongues will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God The Father. Philippians 2-10 / 11
  • This dazzling light will give way to darkness in the cold and the ice but finally, towards evening (after The Just Anger and the Holy Judgment of God) the light will appear. Zechariah 14-6/7
  • The powers of heaven surrounding the earth after having been shaken together with the sun and the moon, will be destroyed in their power and Satan, the adversary bound for a thousand years, only by The Breath of the Mouth of Jesus, His Word, and He will crush them by the brightness of His coming.
  • The earth is torn, the earth is broken, the earth staggers, the cities are destroyed, islands and high mountains will be no more (Revelation 16-18/20).

The Advent of Jesus in Glory has nothing in common with His prior coming on the clouds to take His Beloved before the manifestation of The Wrath of the Lamb during His Advent in Glory.

d) Why Matthew 24-30 to 41 can not speak of the Rapture of the Church.

Matthew 24-30 Then shall the sign of the Son of Man appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 He will send his angels with the trumpet of sound, and they will gather his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other ... 40 Then, of two men who will be in a field, one will be taken and the other left; 41 of two women grinding at the mill, one will be taken and the other left.

Some answers:

  1. Matthew 24 is primarily written for Jews.
  2. The temple of Jerusalem, place of devotion for the Jews only, will be rebuilt and profaned by the Anti-Christ. 24-15
  3. The Jews (previously gathered from all the nations because having returned to Palestine and thus also in Judea) will be able to flee in the mountains. 24-16
  4. This flight that will not have to be on the Sabbath. A Christian does not scrupulously respect the Sabbath as a Jew. 24-20
  5. The terrified Jews, will wait for their Messiah as imminent and some will say: He is here, He is there. 24-23
  6. The Messiah comes with great glory according to the prophecy of Zechariah 14. 24-30

(and not just on the clouds according to 1 Thessalonians 4-17)

  1. The angels must gather / transport the elect. 24-31 and 40/41

(Which will not be the case of the bodies of the saints glorified / changed at the time of the rapture - 1 Corinthians 15-52, these glorified bodies will allow a movement without the help of the angels - See Chapter 52)

  1. Day and hour will no longer be discernible, therefore impossible to count since the abomination of desolation done 1260 days before in the temple by the Anti-Christ. 24-36

e) No man, no angel will know, God alone will know.

Matthew 24-36 As for the day and the hour, nobody knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

Even Jesus in his humanity affirms that he cannot count the number of days given in advance by God for His Coming in Glory established from the day of the Saints’ Rapture: 1260 + 1335 = 2595 days.

Man cannot count these days. See the detailed reason also in Chapter 36.

But having ascended to heaven after His Resurrection, Jesus recovered The Fullness Glory of His Divinity,

He knows perfectly now all the times of His Church and The Times of His Return to Glory.

Jesus said: I will build my Church (Matthew 17-18) and When I have prepared a place for you in my Father's house, I will return (John 14-1 / 3).

Christ knows the time of the Church perfectly. He who builds all things is God - Hebrews 3-4.

As a wise architect and builder, Jesus knows his planning and the times involved.

Jesus knows perfectly The Day and The Hour of His Return.

Jesus warned his people:

" If you won’t watch, you won’t know what hour I will come."

Revelation 3-3

The Bride will therefore know:

The one who watches will know which day and

at what hour her husband will come to pick her up.

Inhabited by the Holy Spirit of God,

She will have access to this valuable information.

As Rebecca asked the old servant of Abraham about the duration of his journey.

See Chapter 7

He who watches will know what hour Jesus will come to pick him up.

Revelation 3-3 So remember how you received and heard, and keep, and repent. If you don't watch, I will come like a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come on you.

A negation underlined twice by: οὐ μὴ - in no way [and] not at all

Here is the original text in Greek:

A negation underlined twice as in Matthew 13-14:

                                                                                                           _______________________

Conversely, on the contrary, for those who keep watch, Jesus says:

If you keep watch, I will not come like a thief, and you will know what hour I will come on you.

And to underline his thought: Yes you will know - in truth you will know - you will know for sure

If you keep watch, yes you will know what hour I will come on you.

And you will see the day approaching - Hebrews 10-25

So here’s the purpose of this book,

controversial purpose for some,

certainty for others.

Revelation granted by the Holy Spirit,

To those who obey Him,

In His Days.

According to His Promise:

Genesis 24, Daniel 9-25 and 12-4 and 12-9, Matthew 22, Revelation 12, ... (See Chapter 75)

It is very astonishing to realize that Jesus who announced: "As for the day and the hour, no one knows" ,

and who bore in His Name (Christo : ) the date of His Return for His Beloved (2020),

could not say: “As for the year, the day and the hour, nobody knows”.

Jesus, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, only said what the Father told him. The Heavenly Father knew that the insight of his children would allow them to imagine the year of Jesus’ Coming in 2020.  (See Chapter 76-13q4)

John 12-46 I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness. 47 If anyone listens to my sayings, and does not believe, I do not judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He who rejects me, and does not receive my sayings, has one who judges him. The word that I spoke, the same will judge him in the last day. 49 For I did not speak of myself; but the Father, who sent me, himself prescribed for me what I should say and proclaim. 50 And I know his command is eternal life. This is why the things that I say, I say them as the Father told them to me.

f) One of the biggest objections to knowing the day of the Rapture of Saints:

If Christians knew what day the Lord was coming, they would indulge their natural inclinations before and would only repent just before His supposed Return.

Is this the thought of the disciple of Christ, of the one who will be raptured, of the one who received, like Enoch before his removal, the interior witness that he is pleasing to God?

Or is it the thought of the tares? Matthew 13-24 to 30

To think and preach that is to manifest a lack of understanding of the Sacrifice offered by God.

This shows that the following truths are not taught or have not been understood by listeners:

  • The Perfect (The Cross) of the Perfect (Jesus Christ) came out The Perfect: The Bride of Christ Hebrews 10-14

When Adam (or Boaz) woke up, Eve (Ruth) was already perfect.

  • He who is born of God does not practice sin, he has become a “go and sin no more” powered by His Lord.
  • To adhere to the death suffered by Christ for sin is:
    1. Dive into the Perfect Love of the Heavenly Father for us,
    2. Consider the Gift of His Son and The Anger incurred by him who will despise This Perfect Gift,
    3. Consider the implacable Justice of God against disobedience to His Authority.
    4. Dying to sin and wanting to resist it to the blood.
    5. Hate evil and the only thing that was “stronger” than Jesus and knocked him down: our sin.
    6. Whoever is caught in the net of sin is invited by the Holy Spirit to immediate repentance. It is immediately that his heart and his conscience take it back.
  • Not only was the punishment for sin suffered, but it was with the full adherence of Him who suffered it, He did not open his mouth. And Divine Justice was able to accept with full satisfaction This Repairing Tribute offered to Him by One Alone on behalf of all. Frédéric GODET

My beloved brothers and sisters, if that was your thought, repent and consider your lack of seriousness, humble yourself under the powerful hand of the Lord, with piety and with fear, for our God is also a consuming fire. Hebrews 12-29
