Appendix 5: The Temple of Ezekiel - The Messiah's Home, the King of the Whole Earth during the Millennium

Zechariah 13-1 In that day a spring will be opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. 2 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, that they may not be remembered any more. I will also take away the prophets and the spirit of impurity from the land.

Zechariah 14-4 And the mount of Olives shall be divided in the middle east and west, and a great valley shall be formed; a half of the mountain shall go back to the north, and half to the south (at least 2 x 2000m => 4km wide, since Ezekiel traveled at least 2000m and was not yet in the middle of the river - see 47-4). 5 And youshall flee into the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall extend to Atzel; You will flee as you fled before the earthquake, in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. And Jehovah my God will come, and all his saints with him. 6 In that day there will be no light; There will be cold and ice. 7 It will be a unique day, known to the LORD, and it will be neither day nor night; But towards evening the light will appear. 8 And it shall come to pass in that day, that living waters shall come out of Jerusalem, and shall flow half to the eastern sea, half to the west sea ; It will be so summer and winter. 9 Jehovah shall be king over all the earth; In that day the LORD will be the only LORD, and his name will be the only name. 10 All the land shall be turned into the plains of Geba in Rimmon, south of Jerusalem ; and he will be elevated and lived in his place, from the gate of Benjamin (East) to the place of the first gate, to the corner gate (West) and from the tower of Hananeel (North) to the presses of the king (South). 11 And men will dwell therein, and there will be no more total destruction; but Jerusalem will be safely inhabited.

The old city of Jerusalem seems to be preserved. But the high northern wall above the Hananeel tower will certainly be destroyed during the earthquake forming the very large valley. High religious buildings, idolatrous places of worship will be destroyed. All that is the glory of man will be lowered and destroyed before the Lord.

Isaiah 2-12 For there will be a day of Yahweh of Armies

  • for all that is proud and haughty, and for all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low:
  • 13 For all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, for all the oaks of Bashan,
  • 14 For all the high mountains, for all the hills that are lifted up,
  • 15 For every lofty tower, for every fortified wall,
  • 16 For all the ships of Tarshish, and for all pleasant imagery.
  • 17 The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low;

and Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day… from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.

Note: The Lions' Gate (Hebrew שער האריות, Sha'ar Ha'ariot, Arabic باب الأسباط, Bab al-Asbat) is the only door open on the eastern facade of the wall of the Old City of Jerusalem today, facing the Mount of Olives. This door is already present on the previous walls of the Old City and is probably built during the reign of Herod Agrippa. It is called "Gate of Benjamin" in the sixth century (in reference to Jr 37,12, this door led to the tribe of Benjamin), "door of Jericho" in the tenth century.

It is near the Door of sheeps at the time of Nehemiah.

The mark of Jesus:

The iota    is the smallest letter of the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek alphabet (the 3 biblical languages).

When Jesus declares that "neither an iota nor a letter will pass of the law until all is accomplished" (Matthew 5-18; Luke 16-17), he means by this that the law will be observed in its smallest requirements by the Perfect Man:

The Second Adam,Jesus, Man who came in the flesh”.

The only one who could say: "I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill the Law" (Matthew 5-17)

Then the Church as a whole benefits from this Heavenly Father wonderful Gift :

1 Corinthians 1-30 By God you are in Christ Jesus, who from God was made for us wisdom, righteousness, and sanctification and redemption, 31 so that, as it is written, that he who glorifies himself boast in the Lord.
